CODE OF CONDUCT for PARENTS

Wollemi Football Club has impleted the following code of conduct for parents:-

Remember that your child participates in sport for their enjoyment, not yours.

Encourage your child to participate, do not force him/her.

Focus on the child's effort and performance rather than winning or losing.

Parents must ensure that their childs ride home is at training at least 10 minutes prior to the end of training. It is unfair and rude to expect coaches or managers to stay back and wait for you, they want to get home too.

Adhere to a no smoking policy during games/training.

Avoid language which could be taken as offensive, harassment and teasing.

Encourage the child to always play according to the rules and to settle disagreements without resorting to hostility or violence.

Never ridicule or yell at any child for making a mistake or losing a competition.

Remember that children learn best by example. Appreciate good performances and skillful plays by all participants.

Respect officials' decisions and teach your child to do likewise.

Show appreciation for volunteer coaches, officials and administrators.
